William Anderegg

William Anderegg grew up in western Colorado, camping, hiking, and fishing across the southwest. Dr. Anderegg is a professor in the School of Biological Sciences and was the inaugural director of the Wilkes Center for Climate Science and Policy at the University of Utah. He has been recognized by National Science Foundation’s Alan T. Waterman Award, Presidential Early Career Award in Science and Engineering, Blavatnik Foundation National Laureate in Life Sciences, and Packard Foundation Fellow.

 

 
 

Caro

Caro is a creature made of salt and water, like the Great Salt Lake. She is a multi-media painter, a runner, a memory-keeper. Her landscape paintings straddle the line between real and imaginary- understanding the notion that everything is always a relationship between both. Caro was born in Vancouver, Washington and holds a B. A. in Fine Art and a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Virginia, and currently lives in Salt Lake City. 

 

 
 

Cindy Chia

Born in Malaysia and forged through childhood trauma, Cindy Chia rose to international acclaim as a healer of hearts and minds. Founder of Aspire Psychological and featured by Forbes Council and Utah Business, she transforms pain into purpose, breaking cultural silence around mental health. Amid a changing climate, she helps patients face the grief of a warming world, showing that even in loss, resilience and hope can take root.

 

 
 

Atim Enyenihi

Atim Enyenihi is a PhD chemist with nearly two decades of experience in the life sciences, where she worked to develop therapeutics and diagnostic tests, including one now used to screen Utah newborns for a rare disease. She now serves as Salt Lake City’s Strategic Industry Advisor for Technology and Innovation. A sharp, vinegar-like odor in the home after a new kitchen island installation led her to identify formaldehyde off-gassing and deepen her focus on indoor air quality as a public health concern.

 

 
 

Caroline Gleich

Caroline Gleich is a professional ski mountaineer, endurance athlete, and environmental activist. A passionate advocate for public lands, climate action, and democracy, she’s summited Everest, skied first descents across the world, and testified before Congress to protect wild places. A former U.S. Senate candidate, Caroline now works to inspire civic engagement, environmental stewardship, and bold leadership. She believes in the power of storytelling, adventure, and community to create a more just and equitable future.

 

 
 

Hanko Kiessner

Hanko Kiessner is a fifth-generation entrepreneur, innovator and founder of Packsize, where he helped reinvent packaging with Right Size Packaging On Demand®. He launched Leaders for Clean Air to promote a zero-emission society, drive EV adoption, and is now part of Grid Elevated, accelerating smart grid innovation. A passionate sustainability advocate, Hanko brings energy and purpose to every venture—championing mass-electrification, digitalized energy goals, and circular economy thinking to build a cleaner, smarter future.

 

 
 

Matthew LaPlante

Matthew LaPlante is a journalist, author, public radio host, university professor, and climate scientist who has led or contributed to more than 20 studies on climate variability and climate change. He is the co-investigator and site manager for an ongoing study of sap flow in one of the most widespread trees in North America, the quaking aspen, and he is the co-owner of 1833, a zero-proof craft cocktail bar in Salt Lake City.

 

 
 

Lauren Mason Carris

Lauren Mason Carris is an AI strategist and tech-for-good leader based in Salt Lake City. She partners with executives and fast-moving teams to turn bold ideas into real-world impact. Lauren believes the most valuable solutions come from aligning innovation with intention, empathy, and human-centred design. With a passion for emerging talent and purpose-driven tech, she champions the idea that the tools to solve humanity’s greatest challenges already exist—often, right in our own backyard.

 

 
 

Daniel Mendoza

Dr. Daniel Mendoza holds joint appointments as Research Associate Professor in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Pulmonary Division in the School of Medicine, and the Department of City & Metropolitan Planning at the University of Utah. He quantifies the health effects of acute and chronic pollutant exposure. He is the Director of the Dark Sky Studies Minor and instructor of the Capstone Class at the University of Utah.

 

 
 

Lacey Reddix

Lacey is passionate about finding solutions that improve human-environmental interactions and increase clean water access for vulnerable communities. Lacey serves as the Founder and CEO of Olokun Minerals focused on recovering critical minerals and valuable materials as well as clean water from wastewater streams. Lacey has a degree in mathematics from Spelman College and a degree in civil engineering with a concentration in water resources and environmental engineering from Columbia University in New York.

 

 
 

Jamaica Trinnaman

Growing up in the mountains of Utah, Jamaica Trinnaman experienced a childhood immersed in nature and adventure, fostering a deep respect for the earth. As one of eight children, she also learned the value of home-cooked meals and minimizing waste. This foundation stood in stark contrast to the waste Jamaica witnessed during her career in the natural grocery industry, inspiring her to open what is currently Utah’s only refill grocery store, in 2018.
