Just as TEDx Talks are all about ideas, TEDxSaltLakeCity strives to present an equally diverse and thought-provoking array of visual art displays as well as onstage performances. We believe ideas come in all shapes and sizes, and can be shared through ways other than the spoken word.

We feature artists from our local community, and we foster their relationships with the other artists, speakers, and committee members with the objective of building long-lasting connections. Visual artists of paintings, collage, sculpture, mixed media art, and more are welcome to apply for their work to be displayed at our annual main stage event, and performing artists, including musicians, dancers, spoken word artists, and more are welcome to apply to perform as well.

This year, TEDxSaltLakeCity was selected to be one of 18 TEDx groups world-wide to be part of a specially funded cohort to host a Countdown Event. This means that we are looking for performances that align with Countdown: TED’s global initiative to tackle the climate crisis. Your performance should relate to one of these five areas:

Nature  |  Energy  |  Food  |  Transport  |  Materials
